BYD introduced the Atto 2 in Portugal at the start of last year in two 100% electric trims - Active and Boost - both with 130 kW (177 hp), a 45,1 kWh battery and up to 312 km of range. The line-up has now been expanded with the Comfort version, which brings more power and a longer driving range.
More power and longer range for the BYD Atto 2 Comfort
In the Comfort, the electric motor output rises to 150 kW (204 hp) with 310 Nm of torque, while the battery grows to 64,8 kWh. As a result, the claimed range increases to up to 430 km on the WLTP combined cycle (600 km in the urban cycle). Despite the upgrade, the Atto 2 Comfort retains the same 7,9s 0–100 km/h time and 160 km/h top speed as the other versions.
Faster charging and exterior updates
Rapid charging has also been improved. On direct current (DC), maximum charging power goes from 65 kW to 155 kW, with a 10%–80% charge taking 25min. On alternating current (AC) at up to 11 kW, a full 0–100% charge takes around seven hours.
Visually, the BYD Atto 2 Comfort stands out with full-LED headlights, slimmer daytime running lights, and a glossy trim piece linking the two headlamp clusters. At the rear, highlights include the roof-mounted spoiler and a light bar spanning the full width. This trim also adds specific badges on the tailgate, including the brand logo positioned centrally.
BYD Atto 2 Comfort interior revisions
Inside, the BYD Atto 2 Comfort brings a number of changes, such as newly designed seats, an additional backrest element for rear passengers, a column-mounted gear selector, and a dedicated glasses holder. The boot is larger too: it now offers 450 litres of capacity (previously 400 litres), expanding to 1370 litres (previously 1340 litres) with the rear seats folded.
The 8,8" digital instrument display remains, as does the 12,8" central touchscreen (10,1" as standard), with an infotainment system that supports over-the-air updates. The model also includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) as standard, effectively turning the SUV into a powerbank capable of running e-bikes, tools or camping equipment at up to 3,3 kW.
As BYD’s most compact SUV, it still comes with an extensive set of safety features and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, front and rear collision warning, lane assist, blind-spot detection and automatic braking at junctions.
Price in Portugal
The BYD Atto 2 Comfort is now available in Portugal with prices starting at 37 990 euros. Here are the prices for the full range:
The brand provides a six-year or 150,000 km warranty package for the vehicle and eight years or 250,000 km of coverage for the battery.
