New Dacia Jogger facelift: what’s changed, new engines and arrival date

Officially unveiled just over three years ago, the Dacia Jogger remains one of the Romanian brand’s key sales drivers. That success has prompted a fresh update, strengthening the qualities that have helped it rack up strong numbers in Portugal and across Europe.

With this refresh, the Dacia Jogger gains a new lighting signature, revised styling details and extra technology. The changes do not stop there: the engine line-up has been reworked, bringing important updates under the bonnet.

What has changed?

As this is a facelift, the visual tweaks are not dramatic. Even so, the updated Dacia Jogger stands out thanks to the brand’s new inverted “T” light signature and a redesigned front grille, similar to the one used on models such as the Dacia Duster.

At the rear, the tail-lights also receive an updated light signature and now feature a darker finish, following the outline of the window and wheel arches. The overall effect is a tougher, more rugged look.

From the side, depending on trim level, buyers will find new decorative wheel trims or, alternatively, new alloy wheels.

Inside, the main change is the cabin materials, which Dacia says are now more durable. On Essential and Expression versions, the seats are finished in a new black fabric. Journey models introduce a new “blue denim” material. Extreme versions, meanwhile, continue to offer washable upholstery and rubber floor mats.

Technology has been upgraded too. While the pre-facelift model used an 8-inch infotainment system, the new Dacia Jogger switches to a larger 10-inch central display. It is joined by a wireless charging pad for smartphones.

In front of the driver, the digital instrument cluster keeps the same 7-inch size, but the layout of the information has been refreshed, aligning it with the Romanian brand’s latest products.

As with other Dacia models, the Jogger continues to offer the YouClip system - a clever solution that lets you attach various accessories at key points around the cabin, including storage pouches, torches, tablet mounts and more.

New powertrains

While the Dacia Jogger has only seen modest changes elsewhere, the biggest developments are found under the bonnet, starting with the hybrid system borrowed from its “brother”, the Bigster.

This means the new Dacia Jogger Hybrid now uses a naturally aspirated 1.8-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine and two electric motors - one providing drive and the other acting as a generator - powered by a 1.4 kWh battery. Total system output is 155 cv, with 170 Nm of torque.

The LPG option, known as ECO-G, has also been comprehensively upgraded. Instead of the previous 1.0-litre unit, it now relies on a new 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine. Maximum power is 120 cv and, for the first time, it can be paired with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Thanks to an increase in the LPG tank capacity from 40 to 49.6 litres, the new Dacia Jogger ECO-G claims a longer combined range (LPG + petrol) of up to 1480 km.

To round things off, the 1.0 TCe engine has been revised and is now more powerful: 100 cv versus the 90 cv offered by pre-facelift versions.

When will it arrive?

Dacia has not yet confirmed when the new Dacia Jogger will reach the market, nor the pricing it will carry. For comparison, the current Jogger is available from 18,500 euros in five-seat form, and from 19,400 euros as a seven-seater.
