Manny Khoshbin and the Bugatti Chiron Hermès Edition one-off

Manny Khoshbin is among the best-known car collectors in the United States, and his garage houses a handful of truly exceptional machines.

Anyone who follows Khoshbin knows the Iranian-born entrepreneur has refined tastes and a particular pull towards exclusive versions-many of them commissioned specifically for him.

Manny Khoshbin’s appetite for rare, bespoke cars

Even though he only recently took delivery of a McLaren Speedtail finished in a Hermès theme, Khoshbin makes no secret of his admiration for Bugatti. In fact, it was through a partnership with the French marque that he “created” one of the cars he is proudest to own.

That car is the Bugatti Chiron Hermès Edition, a one-off built for Khoshbin that brings together two French luxury names: Bugatti and Hermès.

“I'm a true Bugatti enthusiast - I wanted to name my son Ettore but my wife didn't agree. When I first saw the Chiron, in 2015, I was one of the first customers in the world to reserve one, but I was one of the last to receive it, but the reason for that is down to me,” Khoshbin explained.

Bugatti Chiron Hermès Edition: how the partnership took shape

The collaboration between the three parties began in 2016, after Khoshbin had already signalled his intention to buy a Chiron back in 2015. The work took three years to complete, and this Chiron only reached Khoshbin at the end of 2019.

“The order for this special Chiron involved two visits to Hermès in Paris to discuss the design, the interior execution and to follow the progress being made. Between me, the Hermès team and Bugatti’s designers, we exchanged hundreds of emails,” the businessman added.

A one-off revisited by Bugatti in Molsheim

Now, a year and a half later, the Molsheim-based French brand has returned to this unique example, using Khoshbin’s story to underline-once again-that nothing is impossible when it comes to creating what it sees as the true pinnacle of luxury.

“I took my time imagining this car, but it was a conscious decision - this is a car that one day I will pass on to my son, it will exist for generations. I’m truly grateful to the Bugatti and Hermès teams for making this possible,” said Khoshbin, whose car collection already includes three models from the brand based in France’s Alsace region.

“I have three Bugatti models in my collection and soon there will be a fourth. There’s this one, two Veyrons and a Grand Sport Vitesse ‘Les Légendes de Bugatti’ Rembrandt Bugatti,” Khoshbin added-having recently, in one of his YouTube videos, expressed interest in buying a Chiron Pur Sport.

Neither Bugatti nor Manny Khoshbin has disclosed how much this Bugatti Chiron Edition Hermès cost. But given it is a one-off and a “conventional” Chiron is priced at around €2.5 million, it isn’t hard to speculate about the final figure.

And after that exercise in imagination, we return to the title of this article: for Bugatti, there are no impossible dreams. You just have to pay.
