Leapmotor’s new B10 is, for the Chinese brand that has only recently arrived in Europe, a pivotal launch in its wider global push.
That international expansion comes with a heavyweight partner: Stellantis. Last year, the automotive group entered into a joint venture with Leapmotor (with Stellantis holding a majority stake), creating Leapmotor International.
With the industrial strength of the consortium led by Carlos Tavares, Leapmotor gains a meaningful edge as it scales across Europe and beyond, not least through access to its partner’s extensive distribution network.
Stellantis support and Leapmotor’s early European line-up
Leapmotor began operations in Europe just a few weeks ago with two electric models: the T03 city car and the C10 family SUV - both of which have already been driven by Razão Automóvel.
The smaller T03 is even set to be assembled in Europe, specifically at Stellantis’ plant in Tychy, Poland, helping it avoid the additional punitive customs tariffs introduced by the European Union.
Leapmotor B10: what we know so far
Now, at the Paris Motor Show, Leapmotor is broadening its range in a crucial space: the C-segment, the compact family-car class, with the B10. The importance the brand attaches to this model for its global ambitions is hard to overstate. After all, it is one of the highest-volume segments in multiple regions worldwide, Europe included.
It arrives in Europe in 2025, and when it does it will face stiff competition: the Kia Niro, Hyundai Kauai, Renault Scenic, BYD Atto3, and even, within Stellantis itself, the Peugeot e-3008. Even so, Leapmotor is pointing to one decisive advantage: price.
With the larger C10 - positioned in the segment above - starting at €36,400, a figure below many offerings in the segment beneath, it is reasonable to expect the B10 to follow the same logic and come to market with very aggressive pricing.
LEAP 3.5 platform and promised technology
Despite its global unveiling in Paris, concrete details on the B10 remain limited. From a design standpoint, it looks like a more compact take on the C10 and, for now, the only confirmed point is that it sits on the LEAP 3.5 architecture.
The brand is promising a high level of technology, both in driver-assistance systems and in digital features. Almost everything else is still unknown, including motor(s), battery and driving range.
“The B10 embodies our vision for an electric future - it offers not only superior performance and intelligent connectivity, but also makes that future accessible to consumers around the world”.
Zhu Jiangming, founder and CEO of Leapmotor
More news
While the headline Leapmotor reveal in Paris is the B10, it is far from the only announcement. First, we learned that the B10 SUV will be joined by another Series B model in 2026, taking the form of a five-door, two-box saloon.
We also had the chance to see another new arrival in Paris: the C16. For the moment, it will be Leapmotor’s largest model, essentially a long-wheelbase version of the C10, featuring three rows of seats in a six-seat layout (2+2+2). It also promises ultra-rapid charging, thanks to an 800 V architecture.
