Audi has now published pricing for the updated A3, which is already open for orders in both body styles: Sportback and Limousine (saloon). First unveiled in 2020, the current generation is now receiving its mid-cycle refresh.

Audi A3 facelift: exterior and interior updates

At the front of the Audi A3, the standout exterior changes include a new, frameless singleframe grille structure and larger air intakes inspired by the RS versions, giving the car a noticeably sportier look.

Inside, there are updates as well, such as a redesigned gear selector, a more sophisticated ambient lighting system, and two new choices of trim for certain decorative inlays: a fabric made from 100% recycled polyester or Dinamica microfibre.

Standard specification has also been broadened, including items such as a new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, automatic air conditioning, and an inductive charging base for your smartphone.

In addition, the instrument cluster is fully digital and measures 10.25″, while the central touchscreen features improved resolution and a 10.1″ display.

As an option, the MMI navigation plus package is available, along with access to an app store that allows apps to be installed without needing a smartphone.

Petrol or Diesel?

When it comes to engines, the Audi A3 offers several options, spanning petrol and Diesel. The 30 TFSI, for instance, is offered exclusively with the Sportback body and uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 116 hp and 220 Nm. When paired with the S tronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox, mild-hybrid technology is included.

On the Diesel side, the updated Audi A3 comes in two versions: 30 TDI (116 hp) and 35 TDI (150 hp), with both matched to an S tronic automatic gearbox. For the time being, the former is only available as a five-door Sportback.

Meanwhile, the Audi S3 continues with its 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit, combined with a seven-speed, dual-clutch S tronic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.

However, the engine now develops 333 hp and 420 Nm - up by 23 hp and 20 Nm compared with before. Performance also improves: the 0 to 100 km/h sprint is completed in 4.7s (0.1s quicker), while top speed remains limited to 250 km/h. This version is still offered in both body styles.

How much will it cost?

Prices for the Audi A3 2024 start at €33,689 for the Sportback 30 TFSI:
